Job Summary

We are looking for two individuals to join our client’s team as Lab Reactor Technician. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting testing equipment or apparatus as well as reporting experimental data. The testing apparatus could be on a bench-scale or pilot scale. Strong hands-on mechanical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of chemical processes are the keys to success.

Job Description

  • Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of testing labs
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and some electrical issues. Repair or replace as needed.
  • Strong hands-on skills. Prior experience with plumbing or piping work is valued.
  • Flexible working hours. Depending on the assigned lab, the work schedule could be day shift or evening shift. This position starts with the day shift.
  • Understanding the basics of catalytic cracking reaction, fluidized bed reactor, and gas analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software to report data.
  • Working collaboratively in a team setting
  • Being able to lift 50 pounds.

Skills Required

  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical repair and installation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Be able to climb ladders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education/Training/Certifications

  • HS degree with 5 years of relevant lab experience.
  • Associates in a related discipline with up to 5 years of relevant lab experience (or 2-year technical school for some roles).
  • Bachelor's in a related discipline with no lab experience.

Type of Employment        

  • Anticipated contract of 1 year
