Laboratory Technician I

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Laboratory Technician I to work on an initial 12-month contract in Cicero Illinois United States.




MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Support and assist lab supervisors/chemists in routine and non-routine laboratory analysis.
  
• Perform wet chemistry and analytical testing on product and in-process samples for quality assurance/control.
  
• Conduct calibration and maintenance of laboratory test equipment.
  
• Prepare samples and ensure accurate data and record-keeping per standard operating procedures.
  
• Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues.
  
• Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and preparation standards.
  
• Follow directions and receive support as needed.
  

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
  
• Proficient in computer applications.
  
• Preferably experienced in quality control systems.
