Land Surveyor

Performs a variety of tasks in support ofsurvey or constructionactivities. 

  • Duties maydiffer depending on the specialtyarea. 
  • Activities may include settingup and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; inspection ofengineering installations for compliance with specifications;maintaining project documentation; assisting with the buildingrepair or maintenance of a structure orroadway. 
  • Conducts field surveys todetermine property boundaries topography and other land featuresusing advanced surveying instruments and GPStechnology. 
  • Prepares detailed siteplans maps and reports based on survey datacollected. 
  • Researches land recordssurvey records and land titles to verify property lines and toidentify any potentialdiscrepancies. 
  • Coordinates withproject managers engineers and other professionals to ensureaccurate and timely completion of surveyprojects. 
  • Performs calculations andanalyzes survey results using specialized software and mathematicalprinciples. 
  • Ensures compliance withlocal state and federal regulations related to land surveying anddevelopment. 
  • Maintains accurate andorganized records of all survey activities andfindings. 
  • Relies on generalunderstanding of procedures company policies and business practicesto plan and accomplish moderategoals. 
  • Works under generalsupervision. 
  • May train and supervisesurvey crew members on field procedures and safetyprotocols.

MinimumQualification

  • BachelorDegree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil Geodetic or relatedfield.
