Summary:

Contours Landscape Solution is looking for a Part-Time up to full time mechanic to work afternoon evening shifts. Work includes specific maintenance, repairs, inventory management of small hand equipment, mowers and fleet vehicles. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager or Management to meet or exceed goals while supporting field operations staff and overall proper function of equipment assets. Work involves planning, managing day-to-day activities pertaining to all equipment and trucks within the organization. Also included enforcement of company policies specifically to safety and proper operation of all equipment.

Essential Function:

· Diagnose and repair 4 cycle and 2 cycle equipment, different engines and Hydraulic systems used primarily in the lawn and garden industry.

· Responsible for all care and use of assets to include fleet and equipment.

o Managing equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage and care

o Ensure that repairs to equipment and vehicles are reported to management timely.

o Ensure best use of tools and equipment efficiently to ensure project completion.

o Provide timely and quality repair without re-work.

o Adjust components according to specification

· Source and order parts for repairs

· Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts

· Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.

· Work with management to track all expenses for equipment, ensuring proper entry of time and use of materials.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather.

· Shop is provided, some larger tools available by company.

· Basic tools to perform repair work will be employee's responsibility. Secure tool storage will be provided by employer with mechanic access only.

· Days and Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 35+ variable hours per work week. Daily hours to be discussed.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Experience of work with small equipment and general vehicle repairs for commercial landscape company

· Needs to be self-motivated, team player and results oriented.

· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment, multi-task to meet schedule deadlines with limited supervision.

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· Promote a clean, safe work practices or conditions is a must.

· The ability to clearly explain the diagnosis and repair of equipment
