Responsibility

A Volta Launch & Project Engineer’s main objective is to support Volta customers during new product launches. This will include support in terms of project management, system integration, manufacturing readiness support at customers facilities, and customer training. This position reports to the Customer Engineering Launch Manager and will be located at the Holland, MI office.

Typical Duties

• Ensure customer success integration and launching Volta on their platforms
• Engineering design and schematics for customer applications
• Training of customer team and any documentation that is unique to the program
• Onsite support during launch
• Field diagnostics
• Maintain issues list and champion the closure of open items during launch
• Project manage other in-house engineering projects when time allows.
• Conduct all work activities following company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Position Requirements

• BSME, BSMT, or BSEE in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5 or more years Engineering/Engineering experience
• Understanding of electronic schematic symbols and basic circuits
• MS Office tools
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio experience
• CAN experience considered a plus
• Good customer communications
• Technical writing skills
• Willing to travel to support customer when needed
• Experienced with 3D CAD, Solid Works .

• Ability to influence and build customer trust.
• Requires the use of independent judgement, responsible actions, and professionalism in all customer dealings.
• Ability to construct cross-functional project teams and complete programs on schedule.
• Ability to balance the requirements of performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems (problem-solving).
• CAN experience considered a plus.
• Experienced with 3D CAD, Autodesk Inventor, and PDM software .
• Experienced with RapidHarness software .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
