Position Title: Lead C5ISR & COP Systems Engineer
Location: 30 Minutes North of Detroit, MI (On-site)
Salary Range: $85,000 – $150,000
Clearance: Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Our client is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to support the integration of C5ISR systems and Common Operating Picture (COP) technologies on tactical vehicle platforms. This role provides technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and direct support from design through deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead COP system integration across vehicle platforms

• Coordinate with engineering, testing, cyber, logistics, and training teams

• Translate user requirements into technical specs

• Review system designs and documentation

• Track progress and provide technical input across project phases

• Present updates and technical briefings to stakeholders

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship

• Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• 8+ years of experience in C5ISR or systems engineering

• Experience with COP systems such as GCCS-J, TAK, JBCP, or Blue Force Tracker

• Strong communication and technical documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and lead engineering tasks

Nice to Have:

• Experience with military radios, GPS, SATCOM, or secure networks

• Familiarity with VMF, JSON, or interoperability testing standards

• Background in DoD acquisition or tactical vehicle integration
