Lead Cloud Systems Engineer
A Financial Services Software company that provides a leading set of Asset Management and Leasing applications for clients across the globe are looking to recruit an experienced Lead Cloud Systems Engineer to join their UK team working from their offices in Horsham, West Sussex.
This role is to manage their Azure Cloud It Infrastructure and systems supporting global, enterprise scale Fintech applications all based on Azure and Microsoft development technologies. This Lead Engineer role will also require the Engineer to manage the daily tasks of a small team of Infrastructure Engineers as well.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of dedicated and experienced IT professionals within the company.
- Overseeing the provision and management of client IT services for the organisation in Europe. This encompasses coordinating with IT delivery teams based in Lahore, Pakistan, and taking charge of negotiations and contracts with third-party suppliers.
- Provide proactive monitoring of all elements of production services for key clients and provide regular reporting against these.
- Work with third parties to ensure the availability and stability of application interfaces such as credit bureaus, payment bureaus, etc., in the European market.
- Operate within an ITIL-based service management framework.
- Create regular reports covering performance against SLA / OLA / KPI, including Service. improvement initiatives for internal and external consumption.
- Ensure extended support functions are meeting SLA targets and escalate any areas of concern to the IT Services Delivery Director.
- Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines.
- Respond to requests for IT support and services (including incidents and service requests) in a timely, polite, and efficient fashion, while adhering to the defined SLA timeframes using our IT Service Management tools.
- Documentation and continual improvement of IT processes. This includes the setup and use of automated Azure monitoring.
- Provide service management support for internal Service Requests (e.g. installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software).
- Line management responsibility for direct reports includes but is not limited to, day-to-day supervision, a delegation of tasks, and carrying out one to ones and appraisals. Agreeing on holiday and leave, monitoring and dealing with attendance and performance issues. Recognise positive behaviours and good working practices.
- Monitoring IT budget, must ensure that expenditure is within the prescribed budget. Any concerns should be raised with your manager or the person who has responsibility for managing the budget.
