Partner with the best
As the Lead Commodity Management Specialist will work as the local owner for sourcing for the assigned commodities and business segments. These responsibilities include the development, communication and execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives for assigned commodities, which drive deflation and cost avoidance.
As the Lead Commodity Management Specialist, you will be responsible for:
· Defining supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Leading negotiations, allocate needs to specific suppliers
· Negotiating terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
· Advising Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures in the own field
· Leading as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects
· Handling communication with colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
· Have a minimum of 5 years work experience in sourcing or procurement in the assigned commodity
• 3 years work experience with mechanical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities or 3 years of Commercial Sourcing or Supply chain experience
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience using SAP systems
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
• Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills in English and Japanese
· Have previous experience working across cross functional teams
• Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
• Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
• Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
• Have previous experience implementing a compliant supply chain
