Lead Electrical Controls Engineer

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE OEM ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCE.

Project Managers are responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of an order. You will control an order as soon as it's processed by sales and maintain control of that order through shipment to customers.

You must understand customer specifications and maintain an electrical schedule that meets customer and company needs.

Daily activities:

- Reviewing the Purchase Order, application and requirements in a handoff from outside sales to fully understand the project scope before the internal Kickoff Meeting which is scheduled by the PM

- Participating in internal Kickoff Meetings to explain Electrical project scope to all other department heads

- Reviewing approval drawings and schematics prior to sending to customers and working with customer as needed to get project approval as scheduled

- Working closely with Controls Engineers and Designer to keep projects on schedule

- Assist Controls Engineers by working with vendors to find specialty component parts or technical information

Basic Requirements:

- Strong Industrial Electrical Controls Background, specifically in regards to AB-Rockwell products

- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to act as the “interpreter” for introverted Electrical and Mechanical engineers as well as non-technical people.

- Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

- Ability to read and understand layout, schematics, and other technical drawings

- Understanding of various product manufacturing processes as it relates to material handling
- Have good computer skills (Word, Excel, E-mail, ERP systems)

Desired Experience:

- Electrical Controls Engineering background

- 5+ years of experience in conveyor or custom equipment manufacturing

- AutoCAD 2D experience

- AutoCAD Electrical experience
