Sounds like you?Weare looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer with strong background inintegration experience of medium voltage, low voltage electrical equipment,including motors and VFDs, LV and MV switchgear in the Oil & Gas,Petrochemical, and/ or Energy Sector. Job position to be in India / need basedtravel to Middle East (UAE, QA, KSA etc.) with responsibilities coveringengineering activities across EAD Middle East. Effective communication with theinternational team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is tocontribute to the execution of the projects that meets the needs of the SEindustry.oriented: Responsible for instrumentation and wiring (I+W) development for generator customer order engineering (COE) projects from around the globe Evaluation and completion of complex and demanding customer specifications, customer questionnaires, deviations, compilation of proposal documents, and cost calculations. Coordinate EPC contract scope of supply. Ensure that project time schedules and landmarks are achieved, with respect to quality and costs for the allocated scope. Participation in engineering and optimization of interfaces. Closely collaborate with project managers, ensuring that potential project execution risks and opportunities are collected in a timely matter. Responsible for the design review process and documentation submission, and independent preparation relevant technical specifications and inquiry documentation. Leading the team responsible for design activities of electrical systems including MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s, MV, LV and AC/DC-Switchgear, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Diesel Generator, HV and LV transformers, generator circuit breaker, protection, grid interfaces etc. Act as technical authority with respect to MV and LV electrical equipment including variable frequency drives and electric motors with responsibilities for final equipment selection in project execution phase. Provide technical support to sales/ bid team in area of his expertise. Lead all aspects of technical alignment with customers and suppliers ensuring adequacy of selected equipment. Coordination activities with other teams (I&C, mechanical and civil).We don’t need superheroes, just super minds: Bachelor’s degree in power electrical engineering as a minimum, master’s degree in electrical engineering advantageous. Proven experience of at least 10 years within electrical design (low / medium / high voltage equipment and systems) including VFDs and Motors, GIS mainly in Oil & Gas industry with international companies. Detailed knowledge of products such as, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s, MV, LV and AC/DC-Switchgears, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Diesel Generators, HV and LV transformers, generator circuit breakers, protection, grid interface etc. Knowledge of LV and MV Switchgear protections. High voltage protection knowledge will be advantageous. Knowledge on relay file preparation of different manufacturer such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider etc. will be advantageous. Design experience in EPC brownfield and greenfield projects. Experience in “motor to motor" or “turbine to motor" replacements as drivers for mechanical equipment (compressor, pump…) will be considered as plus. Deep understanding of project business, including customer approach in typical Energy/Power, Oil & Gas / Petrochemical applications. Practical knowledge of software like Eplan, AutoCAD, ETAP will be added advantage. Adaptable, open minded and flexible approach to a dynamic environment. Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, and ability to ensure a high-quality work process. Basic understanding of other design subject areas such as I&C, Mechanical and Civil engineering to ensure alignment of project interfaces. Excellent spoken and written English language skills and willingness to travel regularly to Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia).We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
