Lead Electronics Design Engineer

A market leading organisation based in Luton, Bedfordshire are looking for a Lead Electronics Design Engineer to join a team developing electronics for industrial control products. There is a particular focus on ATEX/ IEC-Ex certified product development as their products are used in harsh and hazardous environments.



The role is predominantly based around analogue design and the successful Lead Electronics Design Engineer will be working on the design and development of new products, maintaining the existing product ranges and defining product roadmaps. You will be based out of their site in Luton, Bedfordshire but this role does offer hybrid working.



Key responsibilities of the Lead Electronics Design Engineer job:



Capturing, specifying and managing design requirements.

Carrying out or supervising verification and validation of new product designs.

Designing and developing new products ensuring a high standard of product quality and reliability.

Ensuring that Design to Cost, Design for Manufacture and Design for Test best practices are followed.

Participation in the definition of product roadmaps.

Key skills/experience required for the Lead Electronics Design Engineer job:



Proven electronics design experience in an R&D environment

Expertise in analogue electronic design

Knowledge of ATEX/IEC-Ex certification would be beneficial
