Lead Estimator - Civil Engineering

Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Lead Estimator for a large Civil Engineering contractor with ambitious growth plans across the North of England.



This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an individual to join the business in a senior capacity with a clear progression route to an even more senior level position.



This role is to lead the estimating function, reporting to the Commercial Manager.



Duties to include:



* Preparing cost estimates



* Assessing project risks



* Evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers



* Preparation of cost reports



* Communication / interaction with clients / stakeholders.



Required skills include the ability to read and interpret project information (including drawings and specifications), proficient in estimating packages / software, technical skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, a team player.
