As a Lead Logistics Specialist, you will manage transportation and related logistics of goods to internal and/or external customers/suppliers. You will develop operational plan for own department and contributing to plan of the larger unit.
 

As a Lead Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:
 

• Performing timely processing of notified imports and resolve daily inquiries regarding imports such as customs declarations
• Supporting responsible function to prepare import & export documentation when necessary, resolve transactional issues
• Assessing current import and export customs processes, looking for efficiency and quality opportunities to shape improvement
• Providing advice & guidance to the customs operations teams in Angola and Namibia on Customs related topics
• Interacting with the business and government regulators to address questions/concerns with the help of International Trade Compliance
• Collecting and reporting updates on agreed KPI’s to manager, Logistics leadership and site leadership as required

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have completed Bachelor studies with proven experience in international trade, international business or logistics & trade compliance
• Have 4 yrs' of experience in Logistics.
• Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Oil and Gas or Energy industry
• Be able demonstrate sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP, Ariba etc)
• Display the ability to identify and resolve problems and be able to implement effective improvements
• Have a compliance and controllership mind-set
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
