ROLE- Lead Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nLOCATION- Slough\n\nTERM- Permanent\n\nSALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience \n\nMy client provides products and engineering solutions within the Medical sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer, with some team lead/management experience, to join their team in Slough on a permanent basis.\n\nThe Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nAt least 5 years of Mechanical Design experience\nExperience working with medical devices or in a related industry\nStrong knowledge of plastic injection moulding\nExperience leading teams, managing projects, handling complaints and solving problems would be beneficial\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar\nExcellent mathematical ability and knowledge of mechanisms\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor etc.\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nProficient using MS Office\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team \n\n The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\nWorking in a highly regulated industry to design patented products\nLeading a small team\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\nChecking drawings for sign off\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \n\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
