
Lead Mechanical Product Engineer

As a Lead Mechanical Product Engineer, your mission is to lead the development of their 3D cameras. You will cover a wide range of work including mechanical design, fabrication, testing and packaging.
Job responsibilities
As a Lead Mechanical Product Engineer for 3D Camera, you will take charge of the necessary mechanical and production engineering work to deliver the 3D cameras. In particular, you will be expected to:
● Act as lead engineer for the design and development of our 3D camera systems - Including mechanical assembly, thermal management, structural analysis, and material selection.
● Develop prototypes, conduct simulation tests and perform physical testing to validate engineering designs.
● Work closely with mechanical/electrical vendors to ensure timely production and delivery.
● Collaborate effectively with product, software, and AI teams to cultivate an integrated design philosophy.
● Oversee design documentation and preserve records of design histories.
● Participate in the product definition phase by providing technical inputs and cost estimations.
Qualifications
Minimum
● A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design or product engineering.
● Proficiency in using at least one CAD software such as OnShape, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.
● Familiarity with industrial product design.
● Practical experience with fabrication and manufacturing processes.
● Experience with common testing and requirements for industrial products, e.g., dust proofing, waterproofing, drop tests, vibration tests, etc.
● Experience with packaging design for industrial products.
● Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics/Automation Engineering or related fields
● Proficiency in English communication, both in written and reading skills.
Preferred
● Prior experience in camera-related industrial product development.
● Prior experience in automation, robotics or robotics-related technologies.
● Proficiency in English communication, especially in listening and speaking.
