Lead Method Engineer (Lifting and Subsea)

Our client are hiring for a Lead Method Engineer specialised in Structure Lifting and Subsea Installations, on a 12 month contract supporting an offshore FPSO project. 5-7 years experience required, English-speaking EU candidates preferred, with Orcaflex software experience. Lead method Engineer-Structure lifting and subsea installation Main responsibilities : Analyze and Select the proper methodology of installation related to the Scope of Work in charge, Issue Work procedure and detailed task plan as per Project requirement, HSE and quality project and Client standards, Establish the required installation documents in taking into account the schedule of transmission of the deliverables to the Client. Ensure the follow up of the Client comments and the document approval, Define the part of the installation scope of Work to be Subcontracted and establish the Subcontractors scope of work. Establish the listing of Equipment required for the activity in charge, Work in direct liaison with the project procurement manager to call for tender and analyse the subcontractor’s / Suppliers proposal Participate to the selection of the subcontractor / Supplier and validate the technical dossier, Establish the schedule of equipment supply and resource Plan, as well as the overall schedule of the activity, Prepare technical review of the procedures for the project and corporate technical team comments and approval, Work in liaison with the operation Engineer in charge of the performance of the scope and manage interfaces to ensure the feasibility of the operation as per the procedure. Participate to the client’s process of lessons learnt. The Method Engineer could follow the operation at Site (Offshore Congo) and ensure the correct understanding of the Work procedures, prepare the Work kick off meeting with the team / Subcontractor team and Client representative. Once in operation the Method Engineer ensures that the Work is performed in compliance with the procedure and task plan and in the time frame as estimated in the operation schedule. In case of change, He/She propose alternative methods and participate actively to the Management of Change.
