Lead Process Engineer
Job Description
My Client is recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer/Process Engineer in the Water Sector\n\nPeterborough with hybrid working available. \n\nYou will report directly to the Head of Engineering and you will provide engineering technical direction to the discipline engineers in your area in either water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects. You will provide design support for numerous non-infrastructure schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.\n\nYou will be responsible for the checking and reviewing of process design deliverables produced by other process engineers to ensure the processes and procedures are followed as well as coaching and mentoring junior engineers.\n\nThe Lead Process Engineer will collaborate with key stakeholders and assist the multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure the project solution is providing best value for business through being fit for purpose and completed on time, to budget, and to the correct quality.
\n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\nRegularly report to the Principal Engineer.\nCollaborate with Principal Engineer, Portfolio Design Managers and Project Design Managers to acquire upcoming project milestones and design review dates.\nCheck Process and Instrumentation drawings and 3D models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to. You will be required to coach and mentor junior and less experienced members of the process team.\nCheck project design calculations and ensure they have been completed by project teams.\nReview construction site design queries and change requests to ensure quick but accurate responses and/or the design remains suitable.Experience and Qualifications:\n\nDegree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification or be able to demonstrate a degree-level of knowledge through relevant experience.\nIdeally, you will be chartered or actively pursuing chartered status\nExperience in water-sector assets and capital projects or design and build environment. \nYou will have a proven track record in mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
