Lead Product Designer - Electric Vehicle Tech for Good Company - Hybrid Role

Job Description

I’ve partner with a company that is disrupting the EV charging industry across the UK.

This is a fast-growing company that is bridging transport, green energy and the Internet of things.

They are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join the company as they scale the software that customers use to charge their electric vehicle. In this role you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and design language across their website and native app.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product and you will be joining a team of over 50 employees from diverse background covering a broad range of capabilities.

This is a hybrid role with an expectation of meeting face to face approximately 2-3 days a week at their central London office near Monument Station.

This role is for you if you have:

• Experience working in a similar role across both web and mobile apps.
• Expert skills in tolls such as Figma or similar
• An understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• An ability of how to solve problems, work independently and manage priorities.
• Experience working in an agile team.

You will:

• Take ownership of the entire design process from discovery through to release
• Work closely with the Product team to understand the key requirements.
• Create visually appealing wireframes, prototypes that will be intuitive for all people and across web and mobile platforms.
• Conduct research with users and collaborate with other teams to develop an understanding of user needs.
• Ensure data driven design decisions are made through an iterative process.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Maintain and improve the design system including the language typography and icons.
• Document all design decisions in the style guide.
