Lead Rigger (Expat)

We are hiring a lead rigger on a temporary basis to join the team based in Angola, Africa. To support overall delivery of company goals and schedules. To ensure that all work scopes are completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications. Requirements Main Responsibilities: Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project polices, working practices and procedures, always ensuring that the rigging work scope is completed, in compliance with LOLER regulations and to a high standard of safety. Complete all work scopes in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches. Understanding of and development of lifting plans. Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multidiscipline team. Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner. Undertake appropriate Risk Assessment (RA) to complete work scopes in a safe and controlled manner. Essential: Basic Offhore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) Approved valid Offshore Medical Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) OPITO Approved Rigger Assessment Banksman/Slinger Certificate Demonstratable relevant onshore experience in rigging & lifting operations Possess a good understanding of safe working practices and can demonstrate commitment to safe working at all times. Preferred: COSHH Awareness, LOLER, LOLER Planning & Risk Assessment (LOLER Appointed Person) ECIBT Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Load Behaviours and Personal Qualities:  Essential: • Ability to communicate effectively with team members • Demonstrate commitment to safety • Flexible – to work with other disciplines  • Confident – ability to work on own initiative
