How You Will Make An Impact
As Lead Scientist for the Intelligent Performance Analytics Division, you will spearhead cutting-edge research and development in AI technologies focused on enhancing human performance in complex operational environments. This role combines advanced AI research with practical applications in defense and security contexts, driving innovation in human-AI integration and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scientific Leadership: Direct research initiatives in AI, machine learning, and human performance analytics, focusing on developing novel algorithms and methodologies
- Technical Innovation: Lead the design and development of AI-driven solutions for performance measurement, assessment, and enhancement in mission-critical settings
- Research Program Management: Oversee multiple research programs, particularly those funded by DARPA and other advanced research agencies
- Strategic Planning: Shape the technical direction of IPA Division, aligning research initiatives with emerging opportunities in AI and human performance optimization
- Proposal Development: Lead technical proposal writing for advanced research opportunities, particularly in the defense and intelligence sectors
- Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of scientists and engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence
- External Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with government research agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in AI research and development, with emphasis on human performance applications
- Demonstrated track record of successful DARPA or other advanced research agency program execution
- Strong publication record in AI, machine learning, or human performance analytics
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex research programs
- Expertise in modern AI/ML frameworks and methodologies
- Strong track record of successful research proposal development
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
