Are you an experienced Software Security Engineer looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a leading organisation that is at the forefront of digital transformation, seeking a Lead Software Security Engineer to help embed security best practices into their cutting-edge products and services.

The Role

In this hybrid role, based in London, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring security is built into the development lifecycle from the ground up. Working closely with product management and IT security teams, you’ll establish security controls, integrate security tooling, and drive a DevSecOps mindset across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Championing DevSecOps principles and ensuring security is integrated throughout the SDLC.
• Implementing and managing security controls, tools, and processes to safeguard applications and infrastructure.
• Automating security testing and deployment to ensure rapid and secure software delivery.
• Conducting risk assessments, threat modelling, and security design reviews.
• Leading vulnerability management efforts, including responding to security assessments and penetration tests.
• Ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST SSDF (800-218), ISO27001, and Azure security best practices.
• Working with Azure cloud infrastructure and Azure DevOps (CI/CD and backlog management).

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in software development and security.
• Proficiency in scripting such as PowerShell, YAML, and JSON.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and system engineering.
• Expertise in security tools and secure development frameworks.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field ().
