Position: Architect Full Time (Remote -PT)

Your Impact: As an Architect at Deck Remodelers, you will contribute to creating exceptional outdoor living spaces that blend functionality and aesthetics. Your role will involve developing designs, preparing construction documents, and ensuring that projects adhere to structural codes and zoning regulations. You will apply your architectural expertise to guide projects through construction documentation, collaborating with our project team. This position provides the opportunity to engage in diverse and challenging projects, fostering career growth and hands-on learning in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work part time, remotely with our project development team to prepare construction documentation for residential deck and outdoor space projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet functional and aesthetic project goals.
• Work with local zoning and building officials as needed to Ensure all projects comply with structural codes and zoning regulations.
• Draft, stamp, and provide construction documents, ideally in NJ, NY, CT, and PA.
• Communication and coordination teams during construction documentation.
• Review and revise construction documents.
• Prepare and assess zoning requirements, providing suggestions for value engineering and workarounds as needed.
• Provide project status updates regularly to the Project Development Manager.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of construction documents.
• Providing plot plans, completing zoning & building application, as well as supplementary forms and documentations as required for certain Townships and HOA requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered/Licensed Architect in NJ, NY, CT, and PA or willingness to obtain reciprocal licenses.
• Experience in construction with a focus on residential construction.
• Familiarity with permit applications and zoning approval processes.
• Strong knowledge of residential structural codes, especially for decks and outdoor spaces.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and approving construction documents.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to schedules.
