Our company is seeking an electrician who can perform installation, repair and maintenance work for residential and commercial buildings. Their duties would include leveraging testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues, inspecting various electrical components and adhering to local safety codes. Must be LICENSED
Common job duties can include-
Electrical System Design:
Reviewing blueprints and plans to assess electrical needs, designing layouts for wiring, power distribution, lighting systems, and equipment placement while adhering to electrical codes.
Project Feasibility Analysis:
Evaluating existing electrical systems to identify potential issues, calculating power requirements, and determining the feasibility of proposed electrical upgrades or modifications.
Code Compliance Review:
Ensuring all electrical designs and installations comply with local and electrical codes, providing guidance on code interpretations and potential safety concerns.
Technical Expertise:
Advising on complex electrical systems, including power , backup power systems, lighting control systems, and renewable energy integration.
Client Consultation:
Meeting with clients to understand their electrical needs, explaining technical concepts in layman's terms, and providing cost estimates for proposed projects.
Site Inspections:
Conducting on-site inspections of electrical systems during construction or renovation phases to verify proper installation and identify potential problems.
Troubleshooting Assistance:
Diagnosing electrical issues, providing solutions for repairs or upgrades, and advising on preventative maintenance strategies.
Expert Witness Testimony:
Providing expert opinions on electrical matters in legal disputes, including accident investigations or construction litigation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Master Electrician License: A valid and current master electrician license in the relevant jurisdiction.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of electrical theory, principles, and practices, including wiring methods, circuit design, and electrical equipment.
Code Expertise: Thorough knowledge of local and electrical codes and standards.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical projects.
Work Environment:
A licensed electrician consultant typically works in an office setting, with occasional site visits to construction sites or existing buildings to assess electrical systems
