Goodwoods Ltd is a leading supplier and installer of high-quality new lift and modernisation packages. We specialise in lift installations and modernisations for a range of clients, including construction sites and local councils.
Job Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lift Installation Engineer to join our team. This role is focused solely on the hard-wired installation and modernisation of lifts—no servicing or repair work required.
As a hands-on installation specialist, you will be responsible for assembling and installing hard-wired lift systems to precise specifications. You must ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in full compliance with health & safety regulations.
This position is ideal for a skilled engineer who specialises in installation and modernisation projects, rather than maintenance or repair work.
This is a hands-on installation and modernisation role, NOT a servicing or repair position
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Install new lifts and complete modernisation projects in line with technical specifications
✔ Work on building sites and council projects across London
✔ Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
✔ Ensure all work meets industry regulations and Goodwoods’ high-quality standards
✔ Work efficiently and safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines
✔ Collaborate with site teams and other trades to ensure smooth project completion
✔ Complete relevant documentation and reports
Requirements:
✅ Must have proven experience in Lift Installation & Modernisation (not just servicing or repairs)
✅ NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation & Commissioning
✅ CSCS Gold Card (Lift Engineer Card)
✅ Strong knowledge of current lift industry regulations and safety procedures
✅ Ability to read and understand technical drawings
✅ Must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
