Airswift is seeking for Lifting Supervisor to work in Qatar and Oman with a major Oil & Gas Company. 





QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and construction
  
• LCP (LOLER Competent Person)  / Lifting Supervisor
  
• Banksman Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4
  
• Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 

• Complete all necessary Safety trainings (IF+, HSE Golden Rules, etc.) in a timely manner. Maintain and enforce local, international, and Company safety standards for all lifting activities. Proactively engage (stop work) in unsafe activities and create positive/negative observation cards. Attend TBM (Tool Box Meeting) for critical lifting operation. Make sure works in the danger zone to be prohibited during all the lifting activities.           
  
• Review all documents (Lifting plan, Lifting procedure, Criticality assessment, lifting calculations, etc.) related to lifting operation. Operation) be onsite during all critical lifting operations ensuring the CTR has completed all relevant lifting plans, JSA, TBT, method statements before job commences. Onsite during all lifting operations to ensure CTR is adhering to lifting standards and carrying out all work safely.
  
• Lead CTR to ensure that all personnel involved in rigging, slinging, and lifting operations are properly trained and qualified for the activities to be performed. Make sure all the operators to be certified as per local regulations.
  
• Ensure CTR’s lifting equipment and rigging to be provided with certificate and to be periodic inspected and tested by competent persons and/or Third-Party Certifying Agency in compliance with CPY Standard and contractual requirements. Carry out inspections for verifying conditions precedent of lifting equipment before they start to use.  
  
• Problem Solving: for lifting issues, cooperate with CTR/CPY SLS to find out most efficient technical solutions.
  
• Meeting and Reporting: Participate in irregular/regular meetings with CTR/CPY SLS to make sure all topics associated with lifting operation to be dealt with in a proper and timely manner. Make himself available for attending any meetings required by SLS. Report on any lifting issues to SLS and write down Weekly Report.
  
• To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities.
  
• To provide expertise in daily handling and lifting activities including categorization of lifts 
  
• To ensure onsite the implementation of risk assessment, hazard identification and JSA.
  
• Participate in CTR toolbox talks onsite
  
• Review tagging/ code of all CTR lifting equipment (sling, shackles, etc.) 
  
• To confirm CTR’s selection of lifting equipment as per activities. 
  
• To attend Tool Box Talks and post-job debriefing meetings including assessment of completed jobs 
  
• To review lifting plans (non-critical and critical lifting) 
  
• To Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring HSE policy and international standard, review engineering calculation for complex and complicated lifts
  
• To review complicated and complex lift plan and make sure all preparatory works completed successfully prior to the lifting operation. 
  
• To provide technical advice to CPY teams. 
  
• To be involved in audits of the lifting operations. 
  
•  Ensure the correct implementation of the Permit to Work system.
  

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level.
