Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Cincinnati OH 45237. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)Responsibilities:Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures (see department SOPs).Review and release test results.Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Maintaining the bench assigned to you. Including but not limited to maintenance, and quality control. Knowledge of specimen integrity and releasing of critical resultsEducation:BS in Medical Technology ; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or associate degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Previously qualified as a TechnologistNational certification as an MT / MLT from a recognized organization (ASCP or AMT).Work Experience:1 year of Clinical experience (high complexity testing) is .
