MAIN FUNCTIONS
Work in-country to manage the EPC’s Logistics and Materials Management process. Serve as Logistics interface between Logistics Manager/Lead and Contractor organization to ensure logistics execution. Interface between Logistics manager/Lead and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Provide Logistics and Materials Management support for all project deliverables.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 2:
• Schedule and maintain shipments, internal and external
• Field incoming calls and emails, responding appropriately and timely to customer inquiries
• Enter orders received verbally and via fax/email into the computer system
• Attend planning and prioritization meetings with high level customers
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in logistics planning and execution, construction, safety, and procurement
• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with Chemistry, international trade, supply chain and/or engineering related.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Willing to business travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites to provide functional support
1. Determines proper HTS and ECCN classification of EM manufactured products, includes raw materials and finish products (chemical, Fuels and Lubes) under the USHTS and ECCN schedule rules and regulations.
2. Maintain data quality (accuracy) in the classification database (SAP), review and update the classification process and procedure.
3. Determines eligibility for FTAs(Free Trade Agreements), handles government inquiries, and maintains records of supporting information. This role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to obtain information for making FTA determinations.
4. Determines proper Country of for comingled inventory based on international Rules of , and understand the U.S. marking requirements for import/export product and component.
5. Analyzes customs duty exemptions and FTAs to reduce the cost of imports and exports.
6. Understand and communicate any OGA/EPA rules or regulations to key stakeholders, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for execution.
Key Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with Chemistry, international trade, supply chain and/or engineering related.
? Strong working knowledge and experience with USHTS classification, ECCN, FTA and Country of .
? Basic knowledge of international trade compliance (such as import and export regulations, valuation, FTA and etc.).
? Ability to refine and develop processes to gather the information necessary to classify the products against the regulations.
? Ability to communicate and partner with other cross-functioning teams and business lines.
? Flexibility & adaptability to enthusiastically cross-support other Import / Export Compliance areas.
? Working knowledge of SAP/GTS is desirable.
? Prefer at least 2 years of classification working experience.
? LCB, CCS and any other trade compliance certification is preferable.
