The Logistics team works across all areas of our logistics network including Drayage, Linehaul, Home Delivery and Returns while understanding the movement of our products from the ports right through to our customers’ homes. Hours of Work and Location:
We’re a hybrid team - this role will work three days a week on-site at our Jacksonville location at 10543 Canada Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
The Logistics team works shifts to provide coverage across a 7-day-a-week operation so there is a possibility of weekend coverage. Daily coverage of the team is generally between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm across multiple shifts.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll gain experience and cross-training across all areas of Logistics (Drayage, Linehaul, Home Delivery - internal and external, Returns) including:
- Transportation Planning and Route Optimization
- Plan and execute end-to-end transportation movements in assigned region, considering delivery deadlines, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Schedule and track shipments, ensuring on-time pick up and delivery.
- Use transportation management systems and route optimization software for safe and legally compliant delivery route planning.
- Manage return volume within monthly thresholds for FMC docks.
- Support Consignment and Liquidation planning, monitoring accurate payouts.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes, including load consolidation, route sequencing, and driver scheduling.
- Carrier Management
- Collaborate with freight carriers to ensure appointments, monitor performance, and escalate issues.
- Assist in invoice audit to ensure costs align with contracted rates.
- Contribute to performance calls reviewing metrics and KPI adherence (DIFOT, schedule adherence, customer satisfaction).
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance within transportation regulations and industry standards, including safety regulations, customs requirements, and documentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with key internal stakeholders on status of shipments (Inbound containers, Linehaul, Final Mile assets) and escalations as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse and fulfillment teams to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with internal operational managers to optimize routes and execution.
- Transportation Planning and Route Optimization
Who You Are
- You have at least 3+ years previous work experience in transportation or logistics
- Ability to work independently with little supervision in a high-paced and at times, stressful, environment
- Comfortable working with a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Strong mathematical and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility with working hours and availability to work weekends
- A focus on continuous improvement and a solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to collaborate and problem solve across departments (we win together!)
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Transportation is considered an asset
- Legally able to work in the US
- Completion of:
- Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test

The expected salary is $52,000 to $65,000. The actual base pay can increase beyond this range and will be based on various factors, including transferable skills, training and certifications, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
