Assignment type: Contract

Contract duration: 3 years (with possibility to extend)

Work location: Qatar

Work schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and deliver the overall logistics plan for CO 2 Sequestration Project in conjunction with the EPC Contractor Logistics Team in addition to supporting Materials Management activities.
  • Overall stewardship of Company's Field Logistics activities and demonstrate understand of RLIC Site Logistics procedures and regulations. To ensure Contractor's Logistics and Transportation's procedures are properly developed and implemented for CO 2 Sequestration Project.
  • Support Quality & Material Management system in terms of receiving, checking, certification, preservation and tracking process for received materials and equipment.
  • Oversee Materials arrival process to Project Sites and liaise & facilitate solutions with Project Construction and Quality teams for delayed materials in addition to advising Contractor the required rectifications.
  • Proactively support Contractor, as required, on allocating proper Transportation routes and eliminating road obstructions.
  • Steward process of Surplus Material's disposal and approvals
  • Manage Company's personnel mobilization to Project Sites, including setting up offices, transportations, and gate-passes.
  • Support Contractor's in planning and setting up Temporary Site Facilities.
  • Review and endorse Contractor's Field Transportation plan and routes within Project Sites, allocating proper route for Contraction Equipment and Personnel Shuttling.
  • Coordinate closely with Contractor Labour Camp set-up and fulfilling applicable authorities' regulations and requirement.
  • Provide as required induction and training on Sites logistics and TSF for new PMT member, visitors and Vendors' representatives.
  • Reports to Business Division Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business degree related subject or equivalent experience.
  • 10 Years direct hands-on experience of overseeing the Oil & Gas Projects logistics. Preference is given for experience in Qatar / GCC Countries.
  • Strong understanding of Project Site Logistics Plan and Materials Management & Handling Procedures
  • Strong personal commitment and knowledge of safety and environmental aspects of major construction projects
  • Proactive team player with strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with other disciplines and external groups.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
