The role As the Logistics Planner you play a crucial part in the purchasing and construction phases of state-of-the-art naval vessels. During the purchasing phase, you execute the logistics baseline by planning all system parts deliveries released via Engineering on purchase orders. You link the system parts from Engineering to the purchase order to ensure in-time purchasing, in-time delivery and in-time dispatching of all shipbuilding related parts and has a signaling function towards the Integrated Project Planner. During the construction phase you will be on-site to ensure the timely availability of production materials. You will orders material, contracted in framework agreements or as per request of the production foremen or production coordinator. Subsequently you issue the request in our ERP system to have the warehouse to deliver as requested. Key accountabilities As the Logistics Planner, your key responsibilities will include: Creating the Material Work Breakdown Structure (MWBS) and Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM). Following-up any changes within the purchase orders or the MWBS / MBOM with the procurement department. Maintaining the logistics status of the project and reporting delivery schedule deviations and/or bottlenecks towards the project team. Act as the contact person for the building locations and for subcontractors regarding material and equipment deliveries (platform, Combat Systems, subcontractors or ILS related). Providing inputs for Progressive Inspection Programs (PIP) regarding logistic data (e.g. WH-questions by subcontractors). Work compliant with procedures, standards and the given limits for time, budget and quality per project. Signaling shortcomings in existing procedures and in (logistics) processes to continuously improve the work processes. Skills & experience To excel as the Logistics Planner, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities: Professional technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Logistics Management. Ability to work with (logistic) support tools like PDM (Teamcenter), ERP and planning software (e.g. Primavera). Good command of the English, and preferably also Dutch language (written & verbal). Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure. Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
