Logistics Process Engineer
Join us as a Logistics Process Engineer Manufacturing, based in Waalwijk, where you'll enhance production rates and quality through Lean Standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage engineering projects, budgets, and processes, while collaborating with Operations, IT, and other teams to develop innovative solutions. Apply now! How you will contribute Sustain, develop and configure our processes, using common improvement tools (see requirements), techniques and experience, to increase production rates and quality of output. Manage the engineering function for assigned projects and activities including; engineering budget, processes, equipment, work standards and facilities. Utilize Lean Standards in everyday assignments and analysis, provide leadership and support to Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site level. Support operations team, both on site and (inter)nationally, to meet engineering goals and objectives that deliver results in line with the business plan. Conduct analysis and feasibility studies for new requirements for customers and new product introductions. Present solutions and commercial models as part of the business development process based on headcount reduction, innovation, automation, etc. Work closely with Operations, IT, Account Management, Facilities and Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business. Assisting in new business launches on site. Build and maintain relationships with various DP World customers, DP World stakeholders and contractors from an engineering perspective. Reporting to the Manager Engineering. Your key qualifications Bachelor degree in Logistics or equivalent, preferably with a technical background, in Logistics, Process, Industrial, Manufacturing; 3-5 years of relevant experience (theoretical and/or practical); Have proven process improvement experience and skills utilizing common improvement tools – Lean Six Sigma, 5S Visual factory, Waste, MTM and time studies, TPM, VSM; Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills; Communication and people management skills; taking care of our people is one of our goals; Excellent technical skills; Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities; Demonstrated ability in relevant computer skills such as MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Project; MTM, e-commerce experience will be considered as an advantage. #LI-AD1
