Logistics Specialist

ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor shipments in cooperation with internal Purchase Departments and external service providers including handling and receiving agents, shipping liners, suppliers and customers In charge of tendering process starting from tender invitation, negotiation until contract preparation and implementation with handling and receiving agents Work closely with all parties to ensure the global logistic / warehouse workflow consistency Manage container consolidation facilities and drive daily operation performance, especially for LCL / CFS Ensure shipment reliability, container utilization, cost allocation as well as service provider performance Manage ERP system, procedure and workflow; ensure departmental compliance and KPIs can be met Prepare proper forecast and actively communicate with customers to drive for continuous improvement Provide professional logistic advices and solutions to Purchase Departments Requirements Degree holder or above At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Logistics, international ship liners or 3PL Expert knowledge in sea and air freight operations, as well as rail and road Experience in warehouse operations (CFS, cross docking, etc.) Experience in international trade and sourcing industry is an advantage Experience with Logistics IT software solution or ERP system Expertise in MS Excel, especially with using pivot table and formulas to handle complex database Proficient in both spoken and written English Proficient in MS Office (Word / PowerPoint / Outlook) applications Self-motivated with high level of analytical and interpersonal skills Excellent problem solving and project management skills Capable to manage complex business content Possess strong sense of ownership and high degree of independence Ability to bring about change Energetic to drive for customer success and excellent service Passionate in connecting with people
