The Low Voltage Assistant Project Manager works in conjunction with Low Voltage Project Managers to plan and execute projects for the company. Duties include supporting project needs and goals, assisting with a detailed plan to successfully complete a project and organizing and storing project reports and documents.
Responsibilities• Complete pre-construction requirements. i.e. layouts, permitting, material takeoffs• Management of initial project start-up and set-up• Determine the project scope and goals - weekly team/individual milestone meetings• Lead project planning and implementation.• Keep up with daily progress/schedule and report production regularly• Create material orders to keep up with schedules while maintaining material budget• Report labor production and forecasting while maintaining labor budgets• Responsible for project financial performance• Attend and/or lead client meetings/presentations• Communicate with client representatives, contractors, suppliers. Serve and/or lead field to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes and photos• Verify quantity take offs and construction cost estimates• Participate and/or lead site visits/inspections/documentation during construction• Define tasks, assign staff, and develop schedules• Direct assigned projects, ensuring successful completion• Implement quality assurance procedures• Monitor/Report on progress - Weekly, Monthly reporting (project status, labor production)• Take corrective action when needed
Qualification• Experience managing commercial and/or industrial projects• Experience in design layout plans for electrical installations.• Understand the different sizes of wire, conduit, and codes.• Previous experience in project management• Previous experience in Construction Management a plus• Previous experience in estimating a plus• Experience with site coordination; scheduling of materials; budgets; estimating; Cost codes; P safety.
Education• Bachelor's Degree
Skills• Proficient in computers. i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PDF Expert, etc. • Ability to meet deadlines & motivate others• Budget-conscious• Perform well under stress• Work well in a team & independently• Excellent Customer Service• Excellent Organization Skills• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Negotiation experience and analytical skills
