Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate machines to produce metal components used in industries like automotive, aerospace, and construction.
- Tooling & Die Setup: Handle custom tooling and die setups, ensuring machines meet precise specifications for each job.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly to prevent production downtime and ensure product quality.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards, adjusting as necessary.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance technicians to ensure smooth workflow and resolve production challenges.
- Documentation: Maintain records of machine setups, production runs, and any adjustments made to ensure consistency and quality control.
Requirements:
- Education: High school Diploma
- Experience: 2+ years’ experience with metal fabrication with stamping, slitting, or brake press machines is a plus. Experience with setups is ideal, but we are willing to train those with the right mechanical aptitude and attitude.
- Technical Skills: Ability to perform basic math skills, read, interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Problem-Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively with others and communicate clearly within a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Comfortable with physical tasks, including some heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
