MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR, Confidential Healthcare Organization, Rockford, IL Area

Senior Healthcare Organization in Rockford, IL, Area Seeks a Maintenance Director. This is a Full Time Role with a Salary Between $50k and $52k, depending on experience, Plus a Full Benefit Package, including 401k w/Match, Choice of Health Insurance Plans, Teledoc, Health Saving Account, Opportunity for Advancement, and Much More!

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Director:

• Maintenance of electricity and plumbing
• Maintenance of all appliances and machinery, including forced air units, air handlers, boilers and heating units, sump pumps, emergency generator, fire alarms and elevators
• Supervise repairs, construction, renovation, and remodeling
• Modify department policies to ensure compliance
• Be available to troubleshoot emergencies and urgent repairs
• Supervise one maintenance technician
• Purchase necessary supplies
• Work within budgetary guidelines
• Work monthly rotation as weekend supervisor as part of Department Head responsibilities

Qualifications of the Maintenance Director:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• General building maintenance experienced: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, heating and air-conditioning
• Life Safety Code experience a plus
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care or hotel facility plus some knowledge of those types of regulations required
• Be able to lift in excess of fifty (50) pounds as required
• Must have strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities
• Be personable and professional with , families and staff
