Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICIANLocation: Valencia, CAShift: Day Shift – (8am – 3:30pm)Pay Range: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs repairs in accordance with safety rules and OSHA requirements.
- Diagnoses and maintain malfunctioning apparatus such as main and auxiliary equipment, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose the malfunction and make required repairs.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as electronic boards, relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Troubleshoot and maintain control systems. This includes all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair all AC and DC motors, controls, pressure sensing devices, voltage current, and resistance measurement devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair plant lighting circuits; cranes; PLC-based controls and relay logic circuits.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Other special duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with hand tools and EMT and Rigid electric pipe bending.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical systems including but not limited to; automated systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs) 3ph power, Transformers, Electric Motors, Rectifiers, Power Supplies, Disconnects, Contactors, etc.
- Speak, Read, and Understand English.
- Must have Reliable transportation to get to work daily. Any attendance issues in the first 90 days of employment may result in the automatic end of the assignment.
- Experience in a fast-paced, production-based warehouse or manufacturing environment .
- Knowledge of safety rules in typical warehouse/manufacturing/production areas.
- Must be able to stand most of the 8-hour work day.
- Lifting maximum of 65 lbs.
- Requires a flexible work schedule which may include weekends to support the operating schedule and the needs of the facility.
