Hays are excited to be working with one of the world’s leading household appliance manufacturers. Due to large scale growth plans this company is now looking for several Maintenance Engineers to join their successful maintenance team.

Our client was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site. They are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To support ongoing growth our client are expanding their Engineering team and seeking talent to develop our world class facility and support business growth.

Having visited site and seen the level of recent of investment first-hand, as well as a lengthy discussion with the hiring managers, I quickly understood the forward-thinking vision of this dynamic and ambitious organisation.

Your new role

Your new role as a Maintenance Engineer will be to reduce downtime, increase productivity and reduce defects. Some of your core responsibilities will include:

• Diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to continuously improve work process
• Maintain and develop line productivity whilst adhering to quality standards
• Monitor improvement and projects
• Support delivering business critical projects
• Mentor junior team members

What you'll need to succeed

• A FMCG background and working in clean environments
• Engineering Competencies: Electro-pneumatics, Machine wiring, diagnostics, vacuum, core mechanical fitting
• Team Player
• Continuous improvement – Kaizen, lean manufacturing, six sigma
