Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
arbon60 are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join an established Industrial Services provider that specializes in water treatment plants for the manufacturing sector.
This position will be joining a new facility based on site in Scarborough at a very well know food production company.
This Mechanical position will focus on the maintenance of plant equipment both preventive and corrective as well as supporting plant upgrades and new equipment installation.
This is a permanent opportunity and will be on a standard day’s rota, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned maintenance on all mechanical plant equipment.
- Identify faults and evaluate requirements for rectification.
- Identify and equipment performance issues/potential problems.
- Attend Maintenance meetings providing technical input.
- Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Operators.
- Carry out basic and complex repairs.
- Liaise with electrical maintenance engineers as and when necessary.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance role.
- All level of experience will be considered but ideally candidates will need to have at least 2 years’ experience.
- Ability to work with Sub-contractors and third party to arrange tasks and maintenance plans.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Relevant qualification in mechanical engineer e.g., NVQ or City and Guilds.
