Would you be interested in joining a well-established FMCG business who can offer realistic career progression?Our client is a market leading business who have an international presence, chances are you would have purchased their products.Looking to strengthen their operation they are now looking for an experienced Shift Engineer to join the team.Reporting to the Shift Engineering Team Leader and working as part of the site Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient cover whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and service to production and contribute to ideas for continuous improvements to efficiencies in plant machinery.As Shift Engineer, you will be accountable for Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (Mechanical & Electrical) and respond promptly to equipment faults/breakdowns. It will be your duty to diagnose breakdown problems and use Root Cause Analysis to rectify them. You will also be involved with the company asset care programme and other projects.Our client is looking for an individual who has been in a similar Electrical / Mechanical engineering role within the FMCG industry.Previous experience of lean manufacturing and use of CI tools and techniques will be highly advantageous as well as previous experience of working with specialist equipment, such as PLCs and servos, which control the production equipment will be desirable.Please note the shifts are 4on 4off (nights and days).
