Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias)



Warehouse / Distribution Environment



Shifts – 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00 rotating Monday to Friday



Circa £46k plus overtime at premium rates

Our client, a leader in the design, build, installation, and maintenance of warehouse automation systems is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support a customer operation in Chesterfield. You will be based at the customer site working as part of an embedded team, tasked with the ongoing electrical and mechanical maintenance and improvement of the warehouse automated systems, ensuring a continuous and fault free warehouse and distribution operation.



We are looking for Engineers who want to make a difference and provide a professional maintenance service on site, while ensuring safety is at the forefront of all site activities. Duties include but are not limited to:



* Mechanical and electrical maintenance of site material handling and conveying equipment including equipment strip down, basic field wiring, calibration and system testing.



* The use of a maintenance CMMS system for scheduled maintenance and reactive job logging.



* Contribution to the ongoing improvement of site material handling equipment and machinery.



* Interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.



* To follow all site safety rules and processes including the completion of risk assessments.



* Mechanical aptitude and an ability to ready and work to assembly drawings



* An appreciation of control systems, mainly from a fault finding perspective.



* Be willing to learn and adapt to changing role requirements



What you will need:



* NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline



* Experience in the use of test equipment



* Understanding of PLC’s and their function, predominantly fault finding.



* Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.



* Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills.



* Experience of working with a maintenance CMMS system
