Maintenance Engineer

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a passion for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient factory operations? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team, where you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing processes on late shift: 16:30 - 02:30 Monday – to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Execute planned maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • \n

  • Respond to machinery breakdowns swiftly and safely.
  • \n

  • Isolate and re-commission equipment for production use.
  • \n

  • Provide insights to enhance operations and reduce downtime.
  • \n

  • Complete risk assessments and manage work permits for safe operations.
  • \n

  • Log work using internal systems and generate follow-up actions.
  • \n

  • Ensure proper stock levels of critical spare parts.
  • \n

  • Support contractors and mentor apprentices in safe practices.
  • \n

  • Investigate breakdown causes and recommend preventative solutions.
  • \n

  • Communicate planned downtime with production teams effectively.
  • \n

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
  • \n

  • \nElectrical role: 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
  • \n

Experience:

    \n
  • 3+ years in a maintenance role within manufacturing.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with systems like Piranha, PLCs, and hydraulics.
  • \n

Skills:

    \n
  • Ability to interpret machine manuals and service histories.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures, including risk assessments and permits.
  • \n

  • Proven problem-solving expertise in fault-finding and repair.
  • \n

Additional certifications such as MEWP, IPAF, FLT, PLASMA, confined spaces, or electrical testing/inspection would be highly desirable!
