Working from a field depot you will undertake maintenance activities on existing traffic signal equipment and modification work to existing highways infrastructure. Work activities will be of a planned, reactive and preventative nature. 



Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:



Installation of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/or other highways systems unsupervised or as part of a team Liaising with customers and other contractors that may be on site

Ensuring works are completed in accordance with the site specification, in a timely manner and to a sufficient quality level

Successful completion of mandatory NHSS training requirements

Out of hours working to support service and installation contract requirements

Assistance to engineer to complete electrical tests and pre-commissioning activities

Routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/or other highways systems

Periodic Inspections of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and / or highways systems equipment including electrical testing

Accurate collection and processing of data to enable fault free analysis of equipment performance

Analysis of data to assess performance of equipment within contractual requirements, ensuring correct storage of information once process complete.

Undertake appropriate training with the addition of new equipment and systems as and when necessary, via formal and informal training, including on the job training.

In accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, all employees have a duty to comply with all Health and Safety Procedures and to be alert in identifying potential hazards by removing or minimising them wherever possible

Any other duties reasonably requested within the skills required for the role  



Who are you?



You enjoy learning new activities, picking up new jobs confidently and working on site

You have an electrical qualification or experience in installation, maintenance and/or testing of equipment

You’re helpful and willing to use your own initiative

You enjoy working outside and are comfortable working safely and a at height

You have good attention to detail and enjoy troubleshooting

You enjoy working towards the team’s goals, and work well with other people

Willingness to work unsociable hours on a fair rota basis to ensure work can be completed

You need a full driving licence
