Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are currently working with a Manufacturing business to assist with the recruitment of Multi-skilled Engineers at their site close to Reading.\n\nAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.\n\nThis role will require you to work on a rotating Monday to Friday 3-shift pattern, including earlies, afters, and nights.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n* Conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections on machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.\n* Responding promptly to breakdowns and malfunctions to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.\n* Performing repairs and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.\n* Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritise tasks effectively.\n* Utilising computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) to log work orders, record maintenance activities, and maintain accurate documentation.\n* Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.\n\nRequirements:\n\n* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.\n* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.\n* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.\n* Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintenance.\n* Flexibility to work on a rotating 3-shift pattern, including earlies, afters, and nights.\n* Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, HND) in engineering or a related field.\n* Experience working with PLCs and other automated systems would be advantageous.\n\nBenefits:\n\n* Competitive salary commensurate with experience.\n* Pension scheme.\n* Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.\n* A supportive working environment with a focus on employee wellbeing.\n\nPlease click apply to register your interest in this role
