Maintenance Engineer – South Leicestershire

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: Up to £47,500 per annum



Shift Pattern:



* Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM



* Early finish on Fridays



About the Role:



We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join our team in South Leicestershire. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, continuous, and efficient running of site operations, plant equipment, and associated assets. This role plays a key part in maintaining site operations and minimising downtime through scheduled maintenance routines.



Key Responsibilities:



* Implement and manage the site maintenance strategy in alignment with company policies.



* Carry out maintenance tasks efficiently and safely to planned schedules.



* Ensure all plant and equipment comply with relevant health and safety legislation.



* Manage the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for site assets.



* Oversee maintenance contracts for key site equipment (e.g., air compressors, deionised water plant, effluent plant).



* Maintain and test site pressure containers and associated equipment.



* Conduct minor repairs on pumps, plant, and other equipment.



* Support the Operations Manager with safety checks and routine calibrations.



* Lead and participate in site improvement projects.



* Manage contractors on-site and issue permits to work.



* Monitor and manage the effluent treatment facility to ensure compliance.



* Assist in inspecting customer site tanks for safety compliance.



* Be available for on-call and emergency callouts as required.



Skills & Experience:



* HND/NVQ Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.



* Essential: Experience in liquid process engineering in a manufacturing environment.



* : Background in the chemical industry, particularly on a COMAH facility.



* Experience working in a safety-driven environment.



* Proficiency in using a CMMS (e.g., SHIRE System).



* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations (COMAH, PUWER, LOLER, etc.).
