Maintenance Engineer (Weekends Only)



Location: Telford, Shropshire



Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM



Position Type: Permanent - weekends only (36 hours per week)

Role Summary: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment during weekend operations. Your expertise will support production by minimizing downtime and enhancing efficiency.



Key Responsibilities:



* Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery to ensure seamless operations.



* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.



* Collaboration: Work closely with the production and quality departments to prioritize repairs and implement effective maintenance strategies.



* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including breakdowns and corrective actions.



* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.



Qualifications:



* Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is desirable but not essential if you have the relevant work experience.



* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing setting.



* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the ability to read system schematics.



* 18th Edition Electrical Installations certification is advantageous.



* Ability to work under pressure, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong teamwork capabilities.
