Maintenance Fitter

Headley have a live vacancy on with an established engineering company near Huddersfield who are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter.



The company manufacture an interesting and technical range of products and have an excellent reputation in their arena.



The job is permanent, and to work on days, no shift work where you would work full time hours over 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday.



Opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates of pay exist



The job is predominantly maintenance and repair of a wide variety of production machinery.



* Upkeep of production machinery, including machine tools and welding equipment



* Planned maintenance schedules, and fault diagnoses



* Working on and implementing cost effective solutions to machinery maintenance and repair



* Installation of new equipment



* Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime

Skills required



* Mechanical engineering experience and qualifications, most likely a mechanical apprenticeship



* Significant mechanical maintenance experience gained in a production environment



* Experience in upkeep and repair of machine tools



* Able to work independently, well organised and with excellent attention to detail
