Maintenance Handyperson

We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance operative to work on a large scale facility in the Macclesfield area completing building services upkeep, compliance checks and plumbing tasks.

The role is a permanent position paying circa 30k

40 hours per week plus overtime

24 days holiday plus stat.

Duties:

Your main duties will encompass carrying out various manual and skilled tasks to include:

PPM and reactive repairs to fabric building maintenance to include – basic joinery, patch plastering, painting, basic wet plumbing etc.

The role will also involve general handyperson duties

To work on compliance checks such as tap temps and anti legionella tasks, emergency lighting checks and fire door checks

Client liaison and coordination with the facility managers

Small works repairs

Assisting engineers in their PPM's

Room changes and stock control

Contractor escort duties

 

Requirements:

The candidate should have previous experience of fabric maintenance and/or general trades such as plumbing

Presentable and articulate, able to work closely with staff at all levels

Experience of commercial buildings and maintenance operations

Ideally L8 anti legionella training or experience

Experience of completing compliance checks such as tap temps/emergency lighting checks etc.
