Engineering Lead (Nights)



£54'000 per annum + pension,

A starting salary of up to £54'000

No weekends

8 hour shifts.

9% company pension (5% employer contribution + 4% employee contribution)

Roles & Responsibilities:



Experience of working to retailer-standard engineering standards to support food safety and operator safety.

Scheduling maintenance of all machinery, including servicing, repairs, and inspections to a high standard, adhering to record keeping and hygienic hand back to production.

Operate and maintain service plant - boilers, chilled water, air, effluent treatment.

Involvement with new design and upgrades, installation, and movements of existing machines.

Involvement in loss reduction and efficiency improvement activities with production operators.

Follow GMP and adopt a "clean as you go culture".

Always comply with Meadow policies and procedures.



Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



Multi skilled & great team working ethic.

Recognised engineering accreditation electrical with optional mechanical qualification (recognised apprenticeship, ONC or City and Guilds or 17th/18th edition IEE. Where there are training needs identified, we can assess at interview and remedy post probation potentially.

Background of working in a UK retailer or BRCGS accredited food factory but will consider non-food background if able to follow good food hygiene principles.

Confident in both working alone, alongside skilled operators and within wider engineering team.

Be able to communicate at all levels making time to listen and value opinions of others
