Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager to work as part of the on-site Engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used run to maximum efficiency. This includes, but not limited to, total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of all mechanical and electrical in nature, people management, budgetary / cost controlling and reporting.



Main responsibilities include:



· Leading the site maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.



· Being responsible for planned scheduling, creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.



· Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery and implement improvement plans, driving key performance indicators ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and adhered to.



· Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.



The post holder will have shared responsible for all Maintenance related activities with the Engineering Manager but will be responsible for planning engineer cover through holidays and sickness. They will be responsible for ensuring planned maintenance is carried out effectively using the current Piranha system and for updating CAD site plans and alterations as required. Primarily, the responsibility areas will be relating to the effective and lawful operation of the site.



The successful candidate will have:



§ Relevant qualifications in Maintenance / Service Engineering with a nationally recognised qualification.



§ Extensive plant level experience with significant proven person management experience.



§ The post holder should ideally be able to show demonstrable working experience as a Maintenance Manager (or a similar leading role) in a similar environment.



§ Knowledge of the relevant legislative bodies and instruments is essential, and the post holder will be required to demonstrate effective management within these boundaries.



§ Comprehensive knowledge of plant and machinery manufacturers is desirable as is the contribution to site improvement, utilising this knowledge.



§ Strong proficiency in Microsoft, excel and other engineering specific programs.

Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
