SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and appearance of all company-operated equipment and property. This role is responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is in optimal working condition and partnering with building ownership on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building structures. The Maintenance Manager will develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs with vendors, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Create and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all kitchen equipment. Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and coordinating repairs with vendors when necessary
Facility Maintenance Support: Coordinate with the building’s engineering team on tasks related to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as general upkeep
Cosmetic Repairs: Perform minor cosmetic tasks, including painting, furniture repairs, and refinishing, to maintain facility aesthetics
Work Order Management: Complete work orders promptly and accurately, ensuring detailed record-keeping as required
Deep Cleaning: Assist with deep cleaning tasks, particularly in high-priority or emergency situations
Emergency Response: Remain familiar with emergency procedures and act as a first responder for facility-related crises, ensuring a quick and efficient response
Work Area Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including mechanical rooms and designated workspaces
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications: CFESA, ServSafe, CMM, FMP, CFM, etc.
Valid Utah driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
Experience: Previous experience with preventative maintenance and upkeep on professional kitchen equipment, general handyman work, and light maintenance. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment with precision and safety.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment, resolve operational issues in an efficient manner
Physical Qualifications: Physically capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 70 pounds. Comfortable working at heights on ladders or scaffolding. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor and a guest-focused attitude. Proficient in written and verbal English with ability to clearly explain procedures or issues to team members.
Technical Skills: Comfortable working with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
Smoke-Free: Adheres strictly to a smoke-free policy while on duty
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the demands of the business
- Operates and maintains company vans/vehicles
- Takes on additional duties as assigned by management or as situations require
- Understands that management reserves the right to modify job descriptions at any time
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
$70,000 - $85,000. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
